Government Authority located in Sarnia, Ontario; Canada based organization looking for expert vendor for employee benefit consulting services.
[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1)Vendor needs to provide employee benefit consulting services to the government authority located in Sarnia, ON.
- Provide consulting services for a full range of group insurance benefits for both non-union and unionized groups, active and retired.
- Make client aware on an ongoing basis, of changing benefit and market trends.
- Monitor administrative procedures and claims management according to any performance standards contracts the city may have with any provider.
- Review, discuss and negotiate renewals with insurers to ensure quality benefit coverage at a reasonable cost, inclusive of preparation of the annual renewal report.
- Review employee benefit program periodically to ensure plan’s competitiveness
- Conduct comprehensive marketing, as required, including preparation of detailed specifications, review insurer or provider submissions and prepare a summary including a financial impact spreadsheet.
- Assist with communication and implementation of the replacement plan.
- Provide on-going advice regarding cost containment and cost reduction measures.
- Assist in collective agreement negotiations by providing advance costing and benchmarking in relation to employee benefits.
- Attend employee meetings, as required, to communicate any benefit changes or plan amendments and advise the plan administrators and employees on new administrative or claims procedures.
- Develop, oversee printing and distribution of employee group benefit booklets, plan amendments and other relevant employee communications, as required.
- Provide dedicated representative to be responsible for the account who are sufficiently qualified by education or experience.
- Hold employee and employer presentations on various benefit related topics, as required.
- Provide timely answers and recommendations on ad hoc queries and problem issues.
- Notify the city of new developments and legislative changes affecting benefits and their effect on carrier contracts.
(2) All question must be submitted no later than October 28, 2021.
(3) Contract term will be three year.
