Government Authority located in Ontario; Canada based non-profit organization looking for expert vendor for planning consultant to lead a review of strategic priorities services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide planning consultant to lead a review of strategic priorities services.
- A consultative process including surveys and interviews will be undertaken with stakeholders including the CDF Board, committee and past Board members, CDF members, other foundation leadership, staff and grantees. The process is designed to identify key challenges, opportunities and barriers that CDF needs to prepare for in the coming five years, and utilize the strengths the Foundation can leverage to succeed. We will continue to prioritize the ability to make significant impact in the areas of housing and homelessness, adult education for social change and climate justice, especially in the context of supporting BIPOC and other progressive movements in a post-pandemic world. This material will be synthesized and grouped into themes and questions to be considered by the CDF Board at a May 2022 strategic planning retreat meeting. The Consultant will be onsite to facilitate the retreat sessions.
- The primary goals of the process are to:
Consolidate our key choices and options in relation to mission, policies, funding focus, philanthropic process, structures and strategies
Clarify roles and responsibilities of the staff and board related to our mission and our current priorities
Take stock and celebrate what CDF has accomplished over the last five years and identify key complimentary objectives to continue that momentum and maximize impact over the next five years,
Identify strategies to address challenges, opportunities and barriers CDF might face in the next five-year period.
Grow the sense of connection to the mission and the team relationships among the Board and staff.
Name and adopt our emerging practices since the last retreat, including the strategy and practice of committees, governance and related staffing implications.
Respond to the dramatically changed world by seeking collaborative solutions that deliver systems change and addresses the lack of equity for BIPOC communities and the disproportionate impact of the climate emergency on our most vulnerable community members.
Encourage goals that promote joint action and networking between organizations.
